My love of photography lead my father to build me a photographic
darkroom in the family garage. I was able to equip the
darkroom with full capabilities to produce poster size enlargement
in black & white as well as color. I also was able to buy
equipment that allowed me to handle large format negatives up to 4 x
5 inch in size. Hiring myself out at a young age, I was able
to acquire some very expensive and elaborate equipment. Today
I own a full range of photographic gear suitable for a full scale
operation.
I may retire someday and return to my roots as a professional
photographer and start up my own practice again.
While at Disneyland I specialized in photographing all of the
group pictures of the parade casts and some of the other shows in
the Park. The art of using large format cameras to produce
very details photographs is a bit of a lost art. The photo
department of Disneyland used to take all the cast photo, but the
quality just suitable for the subject matter. People's faces were so
small even in an 8x10 photo required the use of a large format
camera to get enough detail to be able to pick people out in the
final photo. |
