EDnet is a high technology company that started out life at
George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch in Marin. Two of George's top
audio engineers developed a technology 10 years ago to would
transmit live professional quality audio over public phone company
transmission lines. That know-how was later turned into a full
service production service for the motion picture and recording
industry by its inventors.
The same technology that EDNET pioneered in in the late 80's
enable them to jump into the Internet Webcasting business in 1998
after securing a major contract for live production services.
After a year of going it on their own and the business growing at an
ever growing pace, they decided to hire an experience live events
professional with broadcast and production experience.
The search ended when EDnet hire me in August of 1999. The
business that had grossed $97,000 in the first year of business
before I was hire, end up producing with my leadership almost
$1,000,000 of gross revenues. Under the second year of my leadership
as Webcasting Director we reached $1,600,000 in gross income.
This past May the smallest portion of the webcasting business that
normally generates less than 30% of the business, which are
live onsite remote productions produced over $135,000 of gross
income in the single month.
I stand proud that with every passing day my leadership as the
division director, and direct contributions as the head technical
producer adds significant profits to the bottom line of the
business.
