This picture is from World Cup 1994 at Stanford Stadium as the
sun goes down and our day is only half over. As always my
hands are full with one hand at the wheel of a forklift, and my
other constantly holding a cellphone or 2-way radio, its just
another day in the life of an around the clock event guy.
If there is a job that has to be planned and executed, I pride
myself on knowing how its to be done so I can instruct my team, as
well as knowing how to do it myself if it should come to that.
Its important that I am always in a training mode to develop new
talent, as well as to further the education and learning of my
senior staff members. Training people how to think is the
biggest undertaking. Understanding the concepts and what to
think about when you are faced with a massive event where constant
change and road blocks mount with every passing day prior to an
event.
My ability to be precise, well organized, and communicative with
instructions or guidance is always greatly appreciated by my team
members.
